2021 Carmenere
A darker, heavier Carmenere than most, with aromas and flavors of black cherry, smoked herbs, and black olive, finishing with notes of tobacco, eggplant and black tea. Needs a strong pairing, perhaps elk, roasted lamb, grilled eggplant or even asparagus.
92 Points Gold - Oregon Wine Awards
Ruby color. Spicy, smoky, oaky aromas of blackberry cobbler, basked raspberries, tomato leaf, and dried violets with a lightly tannic, lively, dry medium body and a warming, amusing, medium-long black cherry, baking spice, and dark chocolate bar finish with fruit, woody, well-integrated tannins and moderate oak flavor. A riper style of Carmenere that highlights dark fruit and the savory side of oak usage. BTI/Tastings.com
